The Advanced Certification Institute (ACI) Continuing Medical Education (CME) eLearning website was designed and developed by Maximum Value Programming in 2015. MVP delivered on the project after a previous vendor failed the client. The ACI CME website is unique in several regards. It includes a very comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) that allows the client to add and edit new course materials as they see fit, including formatted textual content, question banks, images, and other associated resources such as PDF and Excel document files. Testing at the end of each module is unique, with questions drawn randomly from selected pools in the resource bank as indicated in test blueprints that the client is able to upload through the CMS. Furthermore, when users answer a question incorrectly, they are directed to the exact place in the course content that deals with the topic at hand and are offered one more chance to correctly answer.
The ACI CME website also includes highly advanced eCommerce features. Through the back-end administrative area, the client is able to set universal discounts for all certifications and recertifications, helping to launch the website by effectively positioning the ACI online certifications as the highest value in the market. The shopping cart also allows users to buy multiple certifications on behalf of a group at discounted rates, with the client able to control the precise discounts for three individual pricing tiers. Furthermore, ACI can develop usage codes for each certification to allow access for larger groups that may want to negotiate pricing directly with the company. The platform also allows for the verification of certification numbers issued on the front-end, providing feedback in regards to whether or not a specific certification was given by ACI and whether or not the certification is still valid. The platform also includes highly advanced global metrics reporting features that allow the client to understand in comprehensive detail how the CME modules are being used.
